The best thing a VM OS can do is to have zero bytes free since unused RAM is wasted RAM. This tidbit and more for your pleasure at http://www.langa.com/newsletters/2004/2004-12-16.htm#2 and http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.php
Hope this helps.
I run a Pentium 4 2.8 gHz with 500 MB RAM. I downloaded and ran Sensors view Pro which reported that the PC is using about 60-75% of my RAM. Apart from SensorsView Pro I have the Sygate Personal Firewall, Spysweeper and Norton AV running in the background. Does that sound right to you folks? Should that much RAM be used by this configuration, or is there something probably going on that I'm not immediately seeing and that's causing my RAM consumption?
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
