You should check your system requirements with tech support. Some newer software is designed to work with windows XP sp2. Because of DRM (digital rights management), certain older drives may not work with newer software. It could be the case that a firmware update could fix some of the problems. I was going to build a PC, and I found the issues with DVD hardward and software confusing. I blame alot of the problem on Microsoft for unleashing security viruses or spyware on people and calling it a security patch. You need to mention what operating system you are runnig and what update level you are on.It gets messy because the new software is designed to not let you do certian things the way the older software did.
I purchased Easy Media Creator 8.0 (I had been using 7.5) and it's basically a piece of junk. I've tried installing it on 4 different computers (one brand new from Dell with just the base software on it) and it fails on all 4 machines.
My DVD won't work. You can build a project but you can't burn it. It fails with an "unspecified error". 7.5 works just fine on that machine.
Video Wave won't render and crashes whenever you try to do anything with the video.
Disc Copier works if you have an ISO file but it won't burn from video folders. It also will not create an ISO file from a CD or DVD and it crashes if you try to copy DVD to video folders.
There's not a single piece of version 8.0 that works as it should.
Any suggestions?
