So firstly, you may get a better response in the camcorder forum.

Secondly, unless they're changing their policy for the upcoming tour with Motley Crue, KISS doesn't allow videocameras (or even "professional" (still/photography) cameras) into their shows. (I know because I attended three shows on the Sonic Boom tour.)

Thirdly, to record concert audio, I would use a Zoom H1 (and sync in post).

Really? i didn't know you where not allowed to record the concert. I know a fridn who recordes every one he goes to and he's about 20 rows or less from the stage so it must be noticable. Now i have off topic Q's i want to ask you but on topic,What is zoom H1?

The Zoom H1 is the audio recorder.

What most folk discover is the audio in all consumer cameras rarely meets expectations. The Zoom H1 fills in this void. I own a similar thing called the Sanyo ICR-XPS01M

Sorry but I didn't look for one cheaper as they looked to be voice transcribers and not of any quality for me to think "this is it for me."
