"Trump dubs COVID-19 ‘Chinese virus’ despite hate crime risks"
One American, non-Asian by his name anyway, calls him "irresponsible". That's an opinion ... I guess. Anyway, the reportage seems straightforward; make up your own minds.
It includes a very useful explainer on the so-called Spanish Flu (1918), which Trump referenced.

Our leadership just released an information video for us. Y'all's welcome to watch it.

Note that we apply the properly restrictive Italian rules to ourselves (Romans 13:1 ff.). They do not apply to some others.

Is there anything
Mar 19, 2020 2:40PM PDT

that he does or says that DOESN'T annoy you? If not, then you finally understand how 'we' all felt about BO. I would literally change the channel or mute the tv and walk away every time I saw his face or heard a speech from him or even a sound bite from him.....and still do.

WOW!!!!!

About the only place I see/hear anything about Obama now is when YOU make a post. I think I hear you mention Obama more than TheRUMP mentions Obama. Or even more than you give TheRUMP a pat on the head for doing a "good job".

He's been gone for almost 4 years and you're still talking about the guy you didn't want to hear anything about?

Something doesn't seem right/logical.

I watch TheRUMP when HE is on tv...I like to watch HIM make a fool of himself...then I make posts in SE.

Hopefully someday HE will just be a bad memory....I hope MY memory is shorter than yours, and HE doesn't haunt me.

BO keeps putting
Mar 20, 2020 4:00AM PDT

himself back in the news in order to keep himself relevant in people's minds. I see sound bites often....and his cohorts from his administration are still getting on shows to criticize Trump and talk about how THEY and BO would be handling issues. I don't know where you've been that you haven't noticed it. No matter what you say, he HASN'T been gone....and makes sure he isn't forgotten. His ego and legacy are far more important to him than being dignified by going away and staying out of issues like BWG has done. He was never "presidential" and always went after the spotlight with his opinions and interjecting his agenda into situations, without criticism from the media or others, but let Trump tweet something and you guys can't help yourself from offering up his head on a plate.

Hypocrites, every one of you.

Shouldn't that be

Hypocrites, every one of US? (You, me and everyone else?)

"In pandemic, word definitions shift and new lexicon emerges"
John Baugh, a linguist at Washington University in St. Louis, says doctors are desperate to shake the public to attention, using metaphors they think can convey the seriousness of the problem. Politicians may be doing the same — or may be trying to capitalize on catastrophe.
“They’re intended to grab attention, whether it’s politically motivated or for some other reason,” Baugh said.
An example from the article. "Trump, who spent weeks brushing off the severity of the crisis, is now touting himself as 'a wartime president' leading the fight against the virus."

Weeks???

He shut down travel from China within 10 DAYS...…..

Fake news as usual especially when compared to how BO handled H1N1 which was pretty much non-existent as a leader.
