Warrantees' and guarantees' are a strange thing. With the money you pay, you are making a bet that thier device is going to break. They are betting that it isn't. One of the most profitable businesses is selling you extended (protection). Are you a gambler, lay your money down. Good luck!
I am looking to buy the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 and can get it much cheaper of the web than a retail store but I loose the option for an extended warrenty (like Circuit City 3 year)
My question is whether or not the 1 year manufacturer warrenty is enough. In all of my experience with electronics I get the extended warrenty and never use it or if something has gone wrong it happens in the first year anyway.
