Is the Acer Aspire 1682wlmi suitable for me needs?

Im thinking buying the acer aspire laptop it has the following specs:

Acer Aspire 1682WLMi Centrino 725 1.6GHz 512MB 60GB DVD-Double Layer (64MB ATi Radeon 9700) WLAN 15.4" XPH + 3-in-1 Card Reader MS Works & Acer Arcade.

The processor is Intel Pentium M 725 1.6 GHz

data bus speed 400mhz

Technology DDR SDRAM - 333 MHz

Chipset Type Intel 855GME

i will be using it for fast broadband 2meg internet use/ maybe the odd game of champ manager and for watching the odd dvd.

is this suitable for my needs or not? i was concerned about the processor speed being only 1.6 and a pentium m 725? im not massively clued up on wats good or bad-thanks in advance for any help cheers.

How about Acers in general?

Anybody got any experience with Aspires or TravelMates in general? Are they reasonably trouble-free? Decent battery life? If I get one, will I wish I had gotten a Dell or a Gateway?
