Question

Is SlimCleanerPlus a Microsoft product?

Sep 7, 2015 9:50AM PDT

I recently installed SlimCleanerPlus. Subsequently, I received several notices of Undelivered emails that I had never sent, from unknown addresses. Is there any connection between SlimCleanerPlus and this activity? I use Windows Live Mail and I have AVG, free edition, installed. ( I am not an expert computer user....I may have asked the wrong question????)

Frankly such apps are often the cause of troubles, not the cure. If you gave them your email address it's a sure thing they shared it with others.

Nope, Not A MS Product. Most Don't Recommend Using It

So called "registry cleaners" and "optimizers" generally cause more problems than they fix. If you are experienced enough to identify ALL the items that are detected and removed by the program, and you're good with all those removals, find. If you aren't such an individual, using such isn't a good idea. A quick Google search of the program indicates that most uninstall the program shortly after getting it. I'll recommend the same. It runs as a background service plus as a daily task every day, which both use up basic computer resources. Plus, the "cleanup" provided frequently removes important items.

Hope this helps.
