Is Rafe emphasizing the word COMPANY on purpose?

Jun 11, 2010 2:03AM PDT

I remember a voice mail a while back about the weird way that Rafe says company. Maybe there have been complaints or something. I don't know. It just seems like he is going out of his way to say COMPANY.

I used to notice that Tom said it in a similar way.

It's kind of weird to stress the first syllable and elongate the "o" in "company" the same way you do in "compensation". Must be some regional dialect but honestly I've never hear it before. Midwest?

As long as he doesn't mispronounce the annoying word "IN-surance" vs. it's proper sound of "in-SUR-ance", lol.

And while I'm at it, note to all: please stop using the word "loose" for "lose" in print.

If I complained about every mispronunciation. Wink Ok think I will.
Why even just tech company names.
Nokia, it's Nok-key-ya not No-key-ya.
And Nissan, it should be Nis-san, not Nee-san.
Ohh and, measure.... it sounds more like me-sure, not the correct mez-sure.
Ohh and what's with all the rolled r's, and math rather than maths.. And.... Sigh there's English, and American English. Most English speaking countries are pretty close to British. Except for Canada which is a mix of both, heh.

It's just a dialect.

This one is odd though even to American ears.
