I bought a new Asus laptop in Dubai in March and it came packaged with ?Quick Heal? anti-virus. Although I?d never heard of it, I assumed Asus knew what they were doing. It seems that at least one virus got in undetected and one sneakily disabled my anti-virus. It also switched off Windows 7 problem analyser. I then loaded Kaspersky AV which also failed to detect any virus, and was soon sabotaged by the sneaky virus, and would not scan.

I took all to my IT contact here and he reloaded the operating system, then Kaspersky, and we found an active ?back door Trojan?. I?ll probably never know what virus(es) if any were lodged in the deleted op system.

The error may have been mine, I?m no expert, but I have a big doubt re Quick Heal.
