Why not try yourself? It's nice if it works, but nothing is lost if it doesn't. And then you know.
If you want or need to continue on the old laptop, try a wireless USB dongle. That's a cheap exit of the issue that the built in device doesn't work any more. You might need to disable it in Device Manager to get the new one running.
I just bought a Lenovo V330 laptop running Win 10 Pro 64-bit / 8 Gb RAM / 256 Gb SSD which replaces a slower-than-molasses-in-January 11-year old HP laptop running Win 7 Pro 64-bit that runs runs normally in every respect except it no longer connects to internet via WiFi. Not worth fixing -- can't tell if a hardware or software problem or both.
Quicken H&B 2007 meets my needs, so I see no reason to buy a new version.
I have the Q H&B 2007 installation and R5 .exe files (on Dropbox) and I back up data files to Dropbox and Flash drive using FreeFileSync. Quicken so far works perfectly fine on the old HP laptop (I do not download bank transactions and would have to save data files to flash drive instead of to Dropbox) so if I absolutely had to, I could continue to run Quicken on it but I'd really like to consolidate all programs and data on the Lenovo.
Based on online research, it appears there have been mixed results. I plan to manually install while running as Admin and to start the program running as Admin and/or setup Compatibility Mode. Even if Q H&B runs initially, concerned that a future Win 10 update could stop Q from running properly (which of course no one can predict but it could happen).
Would appreciate anyone sharing your successful or unsuccessful experience running Q H&B 2007 with Win 10. Thanks in advance.
