Is pixel advertising dead?

I'm using Gpix from tufat.com - works great and all - but I can't seem to get a single pixel purchase. Any ideas for a good marketing approach to pixel websites?

It was a brilliant idea but like a nova, fairly short lived.

The first person who dreamed it up did find their college funds. Everyone else will have to be happy with what's left.
