Other issues. What I see today is that many owners expect zero repairs on things that may need repair or a tech to look it over and find what's up. It could be some plastic tab on a tray that folk break off or a paper bit that gets into the works and well, to figure out this you need at least one to go to the repair depot.
The problem is that replacements are now cheaper than repair most of the time but these tend to be 2 year affairs. Folk don't get this. Low cost means a lot of things about longevity.

Do Samsung laser printers have a lot of trouble with paper feed issues?
For the past three years I have worked at a small private school that has a printer in each classroom, most of them Samsung ML-2855ND’s. It’s time to prepare for the upcoming school year, so I was setting up new laptops in a classroom. I couldn’t get the 2855 to print; it said “out of paper” when the paper tray was full, and it was correctly set for “automatic” for paper feed. I went looking and found a number of other 2855s in a storage closet. When I tried to use them, every one of them (three altogether) displayed the same “out of paper” error, which I guess is why they were in the closet in the first place. So, that’s four 2855s with the same problem, out of eight or ten in the building. Is that a chronic thing with Samsungs? Just that model, or all Samsungs? When it’s time to buy more printers, should I look at another brand?
