These batteries are not long life (span.) So you usually get about a day per charge and it seems you are getting that. On smart phones the battery time is affected by what apps you install.

Ad driven apps tend to eat battery time so to see if it's that, you eject (uninstall) all apps. There are thousands of web pages about this so you must use all the advice given to date.

you can try clearing system cache. turn the phone off then Press and hold the Volume Up, Power and Home buttons at the same time until the Android logo shows up and the phone vibrates. let go of the Power button and continue to hold the other buttons till you see a menu. Use the volume buttons to scroll down to highlight Wipe Cache Partition.

you should also make sure notifications you don't need are turned off, have it check email less often, make sure all apps are closed when not using. see the following for more tricks

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
