Question

Is my PSU good enough for the parts I will buy?

Aug 19, 2017 6:27PM PDT

I know I'm posting for the 3rd time over the course of few months but been quite a busy and low on budget but finally I got money for a few changes!
I made a pcpartpicker build and made sure everything is compatible but... pcpartpicker doesn't have the PSU I'd like to check compatibility with, so I'd like if someone woudn't mind telling me if it is or not, I do not plan on OCing PC and I do plan having 4 System Fans.
This is the pcpartpicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GkK96X
And this is my current PSU: http://www.itsvet.com/napajanje_cooler_master_rs500_pcap_i3_500w-pdaa1-57.i?id=886
Thanks in advance!
Nikola

That looks to be a dual rail unit with 18a on a rail.

It may or may not work.

I would not chance it.

Shop for a 500w+ single rail unit.

Single/Dual

How do I check if the PSU is single or dual rail? Is there a website which will show that kind of stuff or?
I'm sorry but here in Serbia we don't have many options when it comes to buying PC parts and ordering is not an option 90% of the times because it comes down expensive as something I'd buy here.
So how difficult would it be if you'd give a look onto website (I KNOW IT'S SERBIAN) :crying:
http://www.monitor.rs/napajanja/svi
And tell me if any of these 500w are SingleRail? Ofcourse I woudn't give more than 50e for a PSU as it is.

That should be in the product specification (on the site of the maker or the shop) or the sales person in the shop (or the customer service of the webshop) can tell it.
To look at the makers site you need to know maker and model number. Same for a review site (if there are review sites for PSU's).

I'd need a simplified explanation.

None of the websites here around do provide that kind of information, neither have I seen on other websites as well, so I do have struggle now indicating which ones is single or dual, is it +12v1 +12v2 for that? Or? I'm really confused rn, I'd like if someone would help me out with this.

I think I figured it out.

So if says 12v x1 that's single rail, yeah?

Shop for a Corsair psu of 500w or greater.

When you find one post a link.

Got 2 models, which one is better?

500W Chieftec GPE-500S ECO series
550W Chieftec GPS-550A8

Both are single rail.

GPS-550A8 seems to use a variable speed fan, has claims to 85% or more efficiency so if these 2 cost same, my nod is to the GPS-550A8
