1. Replace the suspect part and see if that fixes it.
2. Try an external display and use it that way.
There are folk new to repair that think there's another way.
Right so i have bought a laptop which was spares/repairs from ebay, the guy thought the motherboard was broke as the screen is black. It's a samsung np350v5c-a03HU which currently has no hard drive so no operating system. I have taken the laptop apart and made sure everything was connected properly on the motherboard and made sure the video cable was connected properly on the led screen, connected it to my TV via hdmi, and the bios display shows up. I have also done the torch test to see if there is a dim display of the screen, but there is nothing it is just literally a black screen. I'm fairly new to all this which is why i bought it (as a learning curve, how can you learn if you don't give it a go right) now as the laptop don't have a screen inverter as it is LED i have boiled it down to just either being the video cable or the screen but am unsure if anything else would be causing this sort of problem? so if anyone has any idea i would be much appreciated, also if you need to know any additional info i will do my best to find it out. Thanks in advance
