Question

is my keyboard cover safe?

Jun 25, 2011 4:36AM PDT

hi,after reading about spills on macbook keypads i got a cover for mine from the apple shop,it was pointed out to me as a good idea by one of the sales people, now im wondering if they are a good idea as it was mentioned on another forum and someone thought its a bad idea as air cant get to your keypad, its like a clear plastic, any advice would be welcomed.

the keyboard area is not an intake for airflow and I doubt the keyboard will suffocate with the cover on.

no it wouldnt protect from big spills so i will still be careful, think it will keep out dust ect, dont like the look when its on tho,the naked keyboard looks much nicer, typing is ok tho,no difference
