Question

Is my Hp Warranty still in effect?

by Wrong_Number / August 26, 2011 1:55 AM PDT

With the HP accouncement that it will pull away from the PC business does that mean I won't recieve any support from the warranty in my relatively new HP laptop?

So far, no changes.

When it happens, the changes will vary from country to country as laws and more vary widely.

However I find support needs are often for the software and not the hardware. For example folk can't print, connect to the internet or catch a virus far more often than the hardware needs support. Since these companies don't offer support for the soft issues there would be little loss.

HP hasn't announced it's

getting away from the PC business yet. So far they are out of the tablet and smartphone business. There are rumors they may be moving to a software company but that hasn't happened yet.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
