When it happens, the changes will vary from country to country as laws and more vary widely.
However I find support needs are often for the software and not the hardware. For example folk can't print, connect to the internet or catch a virus far more often than the hardware needs support. Since these companies don't offer support for the soft issues there would be little loss.
With the HP accouncement that it will pull away from the PC business does that mean I won't recieve any support from the warranty in my relatively new HP laptop?
