Is my GPU memory dead?

Mar 27, 2015 7:39PM PDT

Hey guys,
since yesterday I have problems with my GPU. It looks like the GPU memory is faulty, but because I don't have any experience with it, I'm not sure.
Problems occured out of the blue. I haven't changed anything in the hardware setup for months. I took some pictures with my camera, so hopefully they will help.

These problesm occures all the time when I power up my PC.
My PC setup:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K
Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 (rev 3.1)
Memories: Kingston 8GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL9 HyperX blue Edition
GPU: ASUS ENGTX560 DCII OC/2DI/1GD5
CPU Cooling: NOCTUA NH-U9B SE2
Power supply: Seasonic SS-650HT-F3
HDD: OCZ Vertex 3 Series 120GB + couple classic HDDs as storage
And sorry about any grammar mistakes, I'm not from the UK or States Wink

If the problems disappear with a new video card, you've more or less proven it's a hardware issue.
It's uncommon to repair a video card; usually it's just discarded and replaced.

Seems like GPU

Since, this happens so quickly during intial boot-up or within minutes then consider the GPU failing. You need to check if the GPU cooling fan is working or in general all PC cooling. Open PC case and inspect for dust, etc.. Alas, if this is a true GPU fault even if ram related, then really nothing can be done other than explained above, remove and replace. If you have an "OC'ed" gpu, go basic or default, if not then just replace it or swap out for another to test. Again, if problem GPU based, no repair can be done, the damage is already casuing the ram to overheat or fail. The artifacts and/or if you can get the "blue screen" error code message, then google it, more than likely video/GPU based. good luck
