Is my computer capable of gaming?

I have an hp envy 20 touchsmart pc that is a few years old but still brand new based on usage for the most part specs are intel core i3 @ 3.30ghz 6gb of ram runs windows 8.1 64 bit os can this pc handle gaming? Also is it possible to upgrade the graphics card and if so what would i need? Pending that upgrading the graphics card would even make enough of a difference of course.. thanks for any help in advance
