The only time that Edge turns on is when I do something that energizes it. I have never used it for anything. I use Firefox 98% on the time and Chrome about 2%. I am using a W10 computer, but for all intents and purposed, it is W10 Frame with W7 Programs operating underneath it. When you go to W10, you do not have to forgo your favorite W7 Programs. I use the following programs that I used to use in W7 and they all installed correctly.
Firefox Internet Browser
Thunderbird e-mail reader
Chrome Browser
Nitro PDF Reader
Picasa 3 Photo Viewer
PicPick Screen Capture
Irfanview Photo Viewer
Quicken 2016 Financial Program
RadioSure Internet Music
7 Zip A Zip, Unzip Program
Office 2016 Office Suite (Microsoft Program)
WD Backup Image Back up File for my WD drive
C Cleaner To Clean up unnecessary files
Malware Bytes To Clean up Malware or unwanted programs installed in Computer by ?
I mainly use W10 functions to turn the computer on and off and put it too sleep. W10 is more of a shell to me and all my programs function inside that.
If you can believe it or not, W10 also includes W7 Backup! I would insert the image from my computer, but this form does not allow that. Almost every other on line program allows you to insert a file from your computer to add to something. If you don't believe me, just call up backup program in your W10 computer and note that it is called W7 Backup.
I tolerate W10 as my O/S and use the parts of it that are appropriate to me.
I started having so many problems with Microsoft Edge that I deleted it from my computer. I may try downloading it again, since your suggestions indicate it is still a viable browser. Have other readers had problems with Edge failure? Are there any advantages to Edge versus other browsers, or should I just move on? Thank you for the great work, the advice and recommendation from your readers have helped me solve many problems and given me valuable insights over the years!
