I honestly don't know if the rumor is true or not, but it would not be hard to believe. After all, most printers use microdot coding to 'sign' every page they print, a feature used to trace forged currency and other documents, as well as threats against others. The technology used to be restricted to high-end printers, but more recently made its way into the consumer market and now even effects some sub-$100 deskjet printers. The question is, if they are not burning CDs/DVD illegally (or in the case of printers, sending death threats to the President), why do they care?

I overheard some people discussing reasons they don't like Vista, and one of the things that came up had to do with the security features, and they said that whenever you burn a cd, there is some code in the cd that identifies you as the one who burned it. Is there truth to this?
