Is it too late to get Sony to replace my KDS-R60XBR1?

I got a KDS-R60XBR1 from a family member a couple months ago. It had gone bad in 2012 with the yellow haze, optical light engine failure. Is it still possible to make a claim on it through Sony? I did some research and found that they pulled it in 2009 but it seems like people were still getting replacement discounts well into 2012. It's now 2015 and I cant find any recent posts about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is where the phone is the answer.

The number varies with country but hit the web for a Sony service or "SonyCares" number and ask.

Gathering Information Beforehand

Yea, I wanted to gather some information before I made the call. I've read that results vary on who picks up the phone on the other end. Some are absolutely not willing to work with you, others toss you a bone. Since its been so long since the class action suit, I wanna be sure I go about it the right way when I call.
