Is it the Power Supply?

Sep 25, 2004 3:25AM PDT

I am a gamer and when i play high grpahic games like doom 3 or battlefield or unreal 2004. Sometimes my pc will freeze on the screen or restart! I have a radeon 9800 pro 128mb and i know it wants a 350w power or more i have a 350w. Do you think i need a bigger power supply. If not what do u think it is?

I have a
2.53 pentuim
1gb ram
80gb hard drive (60 is free)
like 6 fans running(does that use alot of power?)
also a blue neon strip (May use alot also)
radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
Temperature is fine only runs at like 30C.

My machine...

Is currently a 2.4GHz P4, 512M Ram, 120GB HD, CDRW, DVD, fx5700le video, 2 case fans and no neon lights and I have a 550 Watt power supply on it.

Why did you put such a slim power supply on yours?

Bob

You should invest in a quality power supply like an enermax or antec. power rating should be 450 - 500 watts. Don't be fooled by the lower priced 450 watt power supplies. they may last a while or go up smoking like burnt coffee.
