Is it possible to killed a crashed app on iPod Touch 4th gen

Apr 2, 2011 8:42PM PDT

I have an iPod Touch 4th gen with a variety of apps loaded. One of them periodically seems unresponsive. Thus far it has not locked up hard but I started to wonder: Is there any way to kill a 'hung' app?

On the web there are sites that claim an app can be reset by pressing and holding the button on the Home button for 6 seconds, but on my iPod that brings up the Voice Control interface for Facetime.

So, is there any way to kill a specific app short of rebooting the iPod?

Thanks.
