Is it possible to install windows on an iPod Touch

May 5, 2009 6:06AM PDT

I am well aware that by now the iPod Touch can easily be jailbroken, but what about running Windows, Mac, Linux, or any other OS for that matter. I have seen several apparently fraudulent videos online that show people running Windows on iTouch but never has anyone had an actual tutorial. Google only reveals how to use Windows to jailbreak an iTouch, which I was already well aware is possible.

Hopefully, someone will be able to provide some information on whether this is possible and if so, how?

An iPod does not have the minimum requirements to run an OS like Windows.

That is a lie. I have Windows 95 and 3.11 on my iPod touch. They're slow, the mouse control is horrible, and there's no keyboard or internet, but it works.

Of course. What kind? Photos, video, or both?

I've seen the vids on YouTube

And even then there's a lot of doubt (not just me, but plenty of other viewers) that Windows (95, SE, XP, Vista, 7, etc.) was actually installed at the device's root level rather than just a emulation hack on the various Touch devices shown in these videos.

Yep, you know we all got too much time on our hand.
