the switches on a computer are the most likely to fail over time. the only drawback to leaving your computers on all the time are heat and cost of electricity. if you are connected to the Internet, it also makes you more vulnerable to attacks.

I'm using a 733 MHZ PIII system running on Windows XP Professional Edition.

What is better for a computer's "health": keeping it always on or turning it off once in a while (say, at least every 24 hours)?
What "general maitnance" (if any) does a PC who works all the time needs?
