Dismissing another's claims based upon personal attacks rather than actual debate. I believe it shows fear to actually confront a person who is likely correct.

"You're great, Ed! You rock! Seriously, you're the best!"

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Since you didn't provide a link to someone (besides yourself) saying

"You're great, Ed! You rock! Seriously, you're the best!"

Some might call it boasting/bragging more than an imitation.

But I wouldn't.

It could be
Apr 30, 2007 11:01PM PDT

and it could also be

the most sincere form of hypocrisy.

Someone does something,

you rant and rave about them,

When the same thing happens to you,

You do what you claim they did.

So you are admitting doing what was "rant and raved" about
Apr 30, 2007 11:04PM PDT

you? Otherwise it is not imitation

I think it often is.

Unless, of course, it involves copyright law or plagiarism. Happy Nor, of course, criminal behavior.

My son had 7 crepe myrtles in colors alternating between white and deep pink planted along the front fence last spring.

So far, 3 neighbors have since then added some of those to their frontages. I consider that a compliment to his good taste,

People are "copy-cats" when it comes to fashion (clothing and hair), often spurred by a celebrity, a movie, etc., that catches on. Each young generation adopts a look to make them "different" or "individual", but soon end up looking alike. Happy
