Is Corel crazy?

by JusBen / January 23, 2012 2:00 PM PST

I recently bought Corel X4 and registered it. They were giving as an extra Corel KPT filters. I thought I would get them later, BUT when I went to sign in to the website a day later, I was told that my Email address was not recognised. I tried to register and put my Email address and password on and was told that my Email Address was already registered.
I can't contact Corel because I can't sign in. I can't sign in because Corel won't let me. Now who is crazy Me or Corel?
Although I must admit that I am beginning to feel like banging my head against the wall I don't think it is me YET.

message if there is a problem with the password. Passwords are usually case sensitive fo try it with both caps and lower case.

If you still can't get logged in I suggest you see if you can get them to send a new password using this link:

If you can't get a new password or a password reset page (usually by email) go to this page and CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT :

You can use it to get your original account problem corrected (they might be able to reset your password).

It is not the password I get a message saying that the Email address is not recognised when I try to sign in. Yet when I try to register I get a message saying the Email address is already registered. There fore I can't create a new account because I only have ONE Email address.

Look for an password reset option. It's possible that someone may have used this address before, even if in error. So we have to work around that.

Or use some backup email account. Some folk won't consider that but I do.

As I said, ...

that message OFTEN HAPPENS NOT BECAUSE of the email or user name but because of the password regardless of the wording of the message. Did you actually TRY before blowing it off?

Did you TRY the password reset suggested or did you blow that off too?

Did you TRY to create another account using a different email (all kinds of free email accounts available such as gmail, yahoo, hotmail, or a host of others

You don't need to use that new email (webmail) account for anything but
getting this problem cleared up if you don't want but if you don't at least TRY what is suggested why ask for help in the first place?

You could even try their live chat or their one incident telephone support for $19.00 (which I am sure they would be willing to not charge you for because of the specific problem):

Failing all else or even skipping ahead on a couple you could also TRY to contact Corel via their SALES phone number (which they ALWAYS answer) and Sales could connect you to or give you a working phone number for support for your problem. Try 1-877-582-6735 which is SALES.
