Is buying a laptop in China okay?

Sep 4, 2018 2:35AM PDT

My current LG laptop broke down, and I need to go through computer science class, where I have to use Javase and Eclipse. I can’t wait for weeks just to get a laptop from my homeland (south korea), so I decided to buy ASUS S4100vn from a webshop in China. It costs around $800.
However, I heard rumors about hardware and software restrictions, such as pirated windows and junk files for no reasons. People were also negative about buying laptops in China( although it was about buying at local markets). Is there no big problem for buying a laptop in China?

Well to answer the issue about Windows and

it being pirated. Well the OEM purchase the licenses for Windows from MS and that Windows is licenses to Asus. So Asus would be the one liable and if they upset Microsoft in China that would affect Asus's relationship with MS as a whole. I don't think the software issue would be different from OEM PC's sold elsewhere. It's the non-named brands that would be affected more.
