Is AVG alive this morning?

by zeebell / May 2, 2006 11:15 PM PDT

One of the first things I do is right click on the navigation tray icon for AVG and left click on Check for Updates. When I do that this morning, it's dead. Has anyone else experienced this? Hopefully it's just the site and not my PC.

Thanks

Julea

There was a program update today so
by roddy32 / May 3, 2006 5:55 AM PDT

the servers are jammed I'm sure. They always are with AVG during the program updates. Here is a copy and paste off the website.

''The latest update includes: bug-fixes of reported problems, various modifications to the scanning engine and update components, and installation now supports Windows Vista.

All current AVG Free users will be able to download the update automatically through the standard update process. Alternatively you can download this update manually by clicking on ''Check for Updates'' button in your AVG Free. Considering the amount of data to be downloaded it is possible that the AVG Free Edition update will not be provided by our servers immediately following your request, or that your update request will have to be repeated. Your data security is still guaranteed.''
