I finally decided to try Opera and it comes up just fine! Seems like another quirk in IE6!!!!!!!!

Netscape 7

In reply to: CRAP!!!

Using Netscape 7 is a chore on this site too. If I try and open more than 15 messages at a time it causes a freezeup. Sometimes pages just won't finish loading. What did they gain by these latest changes and does it offset the problems accessing the site?

Consequently I post here less, since threads are broken up, parts start disappearing off the page ends as more are added higher up in a thread only accessed by hitting "next message". It's more trouble than it's worth, and I'm not switching off Netscape to IE just so I can access one site that has so many problems, and if your post is accurate even that wouldn't help much. After using tabbed browser I couldn't stand to return to one that opens everything in a new page.

Actually........

I think we have more problems than before the so called fix:( I guess if we really want to stay here, and I do, the fix is to quit reading or posting in a thread after so many layers:(

No problem here

In reply to: Is any one else getting page not found?

but it's getting on in lenght and wonder if this might be related. Try to find another one of equal/greater #s of posts and see if the same is true. It might also be a browser issue. I'm using Firefox.

Thanks Steven

Using Opera now and it comes up fine:( The problem is since the updates on the SW Opera looks screwy when I am in CNET!

I also have not had that problem recently

In reply to: Thanks Steven

Though I have had it in the past. When I had it in the past, there were usually others who also had the problem. Could be it was a temporary thing, with Mr Koo doing something or other.

My only grip is that in the thread, some of the titles overlap the authors name. But that may have something to do with my settings. You?

My only other gripe is that my pages dont load as fast as I would like them to. My wifes puter has a new MB, has more memory and uses XP -- it loads them a LOT faster. Im sure her HD and network card has something to do with it, too.

Slow page loads

In reply to: I also have not had that problem recently

These can be caused if your settings override the sites fonts and/or colors as the conversion takes time. The overlapping could be a font size issue...again, if yours override the sites defaults. I experienced this on Cnet while monkeying around with settings as the format changes were in progress. I found IE to be more affected than Firefox which is my primary browser.

with IE 6 Just that one thread and no others gave me the problem. My fonts and everything is just fine in IE but in Opera it is really a mess:( Down at the bottom when you are making a post the preview and submit buttons are chopped up and placed in weird spots! LOL
