Is Android MS Outlook compatible?

I am thinking of buying the Samsung Galaxy cell phone from T-Mobile but need to make sure it is compatible with MS Outlook. ALternately, is there an App available that will allow me to sync my contacts and calendar between the two?

T-Mobile says they are not compatible and are advising me to by the new HTC phone running Windows Mobile 7.0, but I am leary.

Thanks for your assistance.

No.

But there is sync software to get the two in sync. To be absolutely compatible we'd have to share that PST and other files but that's not how it works.

--> But that sync software varies with each phone. Can you supply a link to your phone and what software they offer?

No again.

I re-read your post and no mention of the Windows OS version. I know Microsoft will try very hard to get this working but may duplicate what they did with Windows Mobile Device Center. It was not issued for XP and didn't sync with Outlook 2000/2003. There were yelps about the 64 bit Outlook version as well.

You could write that I should have written "it's a minefield of issues" rather than no.
