Irrelevant installations from Cnet ...

Dec 31, 2013 3:28AM PST

Hi ...

I've been a computer nerd for more than Three decades now, and I am very sorry for the directions Cnet has taken concerning ads, spam and installation problems.

Back in the day's download.com was a site where you safely could check out and download software knowing there would be no problems regarding viruses, malware, spam etc.
Those days are definitively over.
Today the virus like malware outobox and *ginie or whatever, has been installed in a very untrustworthy way, while trying to install a downloaded software. Outobox is installed as a addin in IE11, and is not possible to deactivate. Virus?
The software i downloaded is not to blame. The perpetrator is CNET's own download helper software.
So, from this day on, I will never download a single byte for CNET!
Thanks for the nearly two decades I have enjoyed your site, and GOODBYE!
