iRiver iFP-799 and iFP-899

Jan 5, 2005 8:06AM PST

I have decided that the iRiver 799/899 are the two players I will choose from to make a purchase. I heard about the "white noise" issue on the 799 so I started considering the 899. How big an issue is the "white noise" on the 799? Also, is the iFP-899 available in Canada? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Is the white noise thing that big a deal or has iRiver resolved the problem somehow?

The only place I have seen the iriver 899 avaiable for purchase in the US is at iriveramerica.com, or occassionally on ebay.

What white noise are you referring to? I was thinking of getting the 799.

Hilarious!!! You actually think that people in Canada speak French and Nova Scotian? Wow. Some Americans are pretty short-sighted... You're so centered on your own country it's not funny! For your information, people in Canada speak english and french, but mostly english (except for the province of Quebec which is mostly french) Learn your geography godammit! We know more about your country than you know about ours...
