Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have no idea how to connect or use this darn thing. Not a computer wiz. Connected to computer, music match comes up. THEN WHAT? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's easy to load files onto an iRiver device. Connect the provided cable to the iRiver player and into a USB outlet on your computer. Use Microsoft Explorer to transfer files. The iRiver device will appear as a separate drive in Explorer. Just copy and paste files into the iRiver drive. Please let me know if this is not completely clear.
not exactly. the H300 series is different, it actually has 2 usb ports. one allows the use of software and auto-syncing, but transterfs at usb 1.1 speeds only. the other will show the device as a letter drive with drag and drop interface and transers over usb 2.0. the 1.1 connecting is titled "media" and the 2.0 connection is titled "data" on the device. i would HIGHLY recommend the data connection for all transfers. it sounds like you used the media connection and are getting confused by the software, using the data connection should solve your problem.
