Iraqi Ministry of Culture to Assume Full Authority

On Tuesday, May 4, a Senior Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) official will join Iraq?s Culture Minister, Mufeed Mohammed Jawad Al-Jaza?iri, to mark the official transfer of sovereignty. This change in status signifies a critical step in the transfer of full control of Iraq?s provisional government to the Iraqi people. The Ministry of Culture joins four other Iraqi Ministries who have assumed full authority.
