I have the 850 series with the romote trouble. Do you know if it is all 850 series or hit and miss? I'm thinking of getting a replacement because I like the tv so much.. but thinking a new one will be the same?

I had an awful time getting my Time Warner cable box and remote to work and was afraid I'd have to exchange for the Sony BRX6 instead. However, my cable guy just left and I have an awesome picture and sound on my new Sammy 850. He changed the box to a SciAtl 8300HD. Claims has been the lucky charm on all the 850s he's done this week. TV will not work with 8300HDC cable box. The remote was not the issue--it was the cable box. I am SO happy with this gorgeous TV.

I was mearly ASKING if any one had and feed back if ALL the sets do this or it is hit and miss. If so, I'll try another set. Also, I wounder if I get a Logitech Harmney remote. if it will cure the trouble...

But it does seem from that other thread that plenty of people have problems. In my case, it has nothing to do with the remote because none of my remotes work (other than the Samsung). Some people seem to be recommending a gadget that converts the remotes' ir to rf.

So far, Samsung apparently hasn't offered a fix and I GUESS it would be unlikely that swapping one 850 for another would solve the problem.
