iQue3600

I'm a newbee, but I have searched and printed and read alot on this subject.
My handheld is not in the device manager.
Wrote to Garmin. Told me to go to Device mgr to do the usual but I dont see the handheld there Sad So I went to add hardware etc. Came back with error code 10. Really I was unable to do my first hotsync at setup. But I can sync datas and maps ok. What will happen if i ignore this problem? TIA

This is usually a PC problem. But nothing written about your PC. My only response is this.

1. http://www.usbman.com
2. Install the MOTHERBOARD DRIVER PACAKAGE for your OS and machine.
3. Enable the USB ports in your BIOS.
4. Try another USB port.

iQue3600 hotsyns unsuccessful

Mr USBman
I did not instal the Motherboard Driver package because I read in the Garmin FAQ that VIA chipset is not compatible with iQue3600. I did try another USB ports. Also the USB ports are enabled in the BIOS. Tried another PC with SiS. Cannot hotsync also.
I sent back to Garmin to check just in case if other problems exist. They exchanged me another one. Still same problem - cannot hotsync.
If the problem lies with with the chipset can I use Serial port or IR.?
Thank a bunch
