Ipod will not charge or sync

Mar 8, 2011 1:07AM PST

I plugged my ipod 4th gen 32 gig ipod into the charger saturday evening when the battery was low. since then it has not turned on. i've tried holding the hold button for a couple seconds as if it were turned off. i have tried charging it through the usb port in the back of my wii, another ihome, and my computer. nothing has worked and it will not charge. could there be something wrong with the charge port in the ipod itself? i've only had this since december and it has a protective case so it isn't like i don't take care of it. if anyone had any idea what could be wrong please help!

That's oh so close to your 90 day warranty that I'd be at the Apple store this evening!

My husband won the iPod in a raffle. Sad there is no warranty.

Don't be so hasty.

The 90 warranty still applies to gifts too. But this warranty is so short that you have lost 2 days here. It would be a shame to not get a free fix.

Yes there are places to get it fixed and not to mention my mom's unit that she didn't notice the wall charger had fallen off the wall plug.
