iPod video or Creative zen vision:M

by british_love / August 4, 2006 12:32 PM PDT

hi i was just wondering i am in the market to buy a new mp3 player and i kinda want the one with video too. I cant deside between ipod video 60GB or the creative zen vision:M. My previous mp3 was a creative zen micro and i really liked it but its so fragile and i want to get one with more space. I like that the ipod is so slim and not bulky like the creative, but i not sure if i have videos on my computer already and want to upload those, i heard that i cant do that to the ipod? So i just not sure.
Could someone tell me which one is better to buy?

Thanks

Creative Vision m

Thecreative Vision m is the way to go.Ipods have the "wow" factor but if you want good value for your money the vision m is ideal. Here are the pros over the video ipod:

1.better battery life(4.5hrs video and 14 hours audio)
2. better colour reproduction .the zen has a 265000 colour screen while the ipod has a 65000 colour screen.
3. extra features such as built in fm radio, voice recorder, not avialble on ipod.

4.compatible with many music subscription services so you can shop for the best value for your music, while ipods can only use itunes

5.multiple video formats such as xvid and divx so you can use free converters on the web to transfer your dvd's onto your zen, while apple only uses thier own video format and you need to buy the software from them for video conversion.

6. better sound quality ,the zen has a S/N ratio of
97 Db while video ipods have a s/n ratio of 82Db (independant test),anything over 90 is considered good.

7.creative is known for making durable players

I wont go over why again as it was well documented in a previous post, just a shame they don't make a 60 or 80 gb version.

The ZVM kicks the iPod all over the place. It plays avi, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, MP3, Audible, PlaysForSure WMA, and lots more. Your videos are probably in AVI, and the ZVM is the only one that plays them. AND THE SCREEN IS FRIKIN AWESOME! The ZVM is DEFINETLY the better player.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
