iPod video...

My 4th gen 40gb iPod just randomly broke on me. The old sad mac face is on the screen and basically what they are telling me is that i have to pay like 65$ to send it in for them to "replace it" with another refurbished one that was once broken and will probably break in the future. I can't really live without an iPod and i'm thinking might as well save that $60 and invest it in a new pod.

The new video iPod looks so amazing and i'm very tempted to just get it, but there are so many rumors about a newer video iPod with the 3ish inch screen etc. Molly Wood in the buzzzzz report touched on the fact that consumers will permantently be scared of buying an iPod with the fear that a new one will come out just weeks later. But this fear is legit. Does ANYONE know/have any opinion on if i should just get the current video iPod or wait it out??

Wait until after April 1st (Apple's 30th anniverary)to see if this Video iPod will come out. If it doesn't come out on that day then we probably won't see one till November, in time for the holidays.
