But I will share that my possibly second gen 20GB HP iPOD is still working fine as a music player in a speaker dock. The navigation is a bit rough compared to newer stuff.

I was given the white 8GB ipod touch for Christmas. I bought a BOSE sounding dock - It's great. I have a rather large song collection and there is only enough memory for about 770 songs. This is my first ipod and I have never been into taking pictures or videos and I am not likely to use the face time. I'm just really about the music. I did play with a couple apps, but had to delete to make more room for songs.
SO, a co-worker has a 3rd generation ipod with more GB (not totally sure how much). She has offered to trade me. I'm really new to ipod, as I have only had it for 2 months, but I have already been thinking about buying one with more memory. Should I make this even trade for more memory????
I understand that I would be loosing the camera, and I'm not really into using this for a camera. I'm just very into enjoying a large music collection out and about with earbuds and at home with the docking station that I am very happy with.
Please educate me as to what I would be loosing by down grading to a 3rd generation. Thank you in advance for your time. TaraMichelle
