Ipod Touch video out

I was trying to figure out how to get videos on my ipod touch (1st gen) to play on my tv. I'm wondering if there are cheap / any cables I can get and if they will be AV or better quality. Thanks.

your Ipod touch wont output video unless the cables that are being used are approved by apple.. since they now require a chip to be included with the cables..

On Gen 5 Ipods you could use a standard 3.5mm jack for video but the outputs were diffrent.

Now you have no choice and its only standard def.
