iPod touch in car

i wish to connect an ipod to a generic touch screen in my car.I want to be able to control/view the menus of the ipod on the touchscreen and obviously listen to the ipod through the car speakers

I doubt it is going to happen unless the manufacturer of that in-car system has allowed for iPod integration.

Something like a Dock or a USB type connection for the iPod.
