iPod Touch doesn't show up in iTunes??

Sep 12, 2010 2:13PM PDT

Last month my iPod Touch synced automatically when i connected it to my computer (PC). Now, whenever I connect to my new computer (Mac) it synced once, then it never worked later. When I got a Mac, I downloaded the latest version of iTunes to see if that was my problem, but still nothing. I've tried restarting both my computer and my iPod, but it made no difference.
Anyone who knows how to fix this problem please reply.

If your ipod touch doesn't show in iTunes, try this.
You can restore and it can solve .
You must have custom firmware for your ipod touch.
If your firmware is < or = 3.1.3 , try < iTune9.1
Press together power button and home button util connect iTune logo appear.
And then connect your ipod touch with USB cable to your computer.
Open iTune and restore it.
If you have problem , sent mail to me. Ok

temporary solution
Sep 19, 2010 5:44PM PDT

if you figure this one out, let me know,,, ive tried everything including deleting the mobiledevice packages and receipts,,,, i have been tryin to figure this one out for months now with no permanent solution,,, but for the time being, i did figure out that it will work every time u reinstall itunes,,, but only once, then when u restart your computer it wontt work again,, so for the time being, just reinstall itunes and then make ur adjustments to update your ipod, but the search continues to find a permanent solution for this...

Did you use the Apple Troubleshooting process?

The problem may be your OS

To rectify this download the latest OS X 10.6.4 Combo updater to your desktop. Then run the update FROM the desktop. I repeat from the desktop, not from Software Update!

This seems to have solved someone's problem with this.

This solution was found on the Apple support forums.
