ipod or mp3?

by chop924 / March 1, 2008 8:05 AM PST

Hi, so my Ipod got stolen (figures, right? it was mailed to me and somehow someone ripped open the package and stole it) and I'm in need of a new one, or something similar.

I'm a poor college kid, so price is important for me. (so not expensive. $100-150 at most) I don't need tons of capacity, somewhere between 4 and 8 GBs would be great.

Any suggestions? I'm either looking for a place that sells ipods at a good price or a device that is similar. I realize that apple has an iron hand on the market and so fluctuating ipod prices would be close to nil, I'm just seeing where a good place would be.

I don't own one, though. I'm an iPod user.

Of course, only iPods sync with iTunes. The Zune has its own software; in the same vein as iPod/iTunes it's a closed system. This shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't have DRM'ed purchased iTunes tracks. If you have iTunes Plus tracks, the Zune will play them. If you end up with the Zune, you just import all of your music into the Zune software, then sync with it.
