ipod on linux

Is it possible to work one of the new ipods (I have a second generation nano) on a linux distribution like freespire, or ubuntu... anything debian based? This is probably the main reason i havent switched yet. I'm not an advanced user though, so I'll need something simple.

But I see ipod support on pclinuxos. Not itunes so let's be clear it's different.

Thanks. I just discovered that Freespire's Lsongs does support it.
