Thanks anyway guys but I've sorted this now.. For anyone having the same problem after a backup here's what to do..
Highlight your Ipod in Library
Click 'Music' tab
Then check sync music box.
Click apply at bottom right of iTunes.
Message will appear stating that Ipod will be erased and new library added. Click yes and your ipod will be erased with the whole library (plus any latest additions) now synched to your Ipod.
Hope this is of use to someone..
Regards,
Joe.
Hi guys,
Yesterday I backed up my itunes onto CDRs. I have now added them to my new laptop. However, I have a problem.. I have added new albums and artwork today and when I connect my Ipod it says synching for a few seconds. Then it stops. The problem is that none of the new albums or artwork are transferring to the ipod. They do, however, appear in the itunes library on my laptop. There appears to be nothing wrong with it. Does anyone have any idea why they have not transferred to the ipod? I did try another transfer method before using CDRs so the odd setting may have been changed.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. It has been frustrating me all day! i am using Vista and the latest itunes.
For information purposes..
I transferred about 9GB of songs onto CD. It took 14 CDRs. I then loaded them onto new laptop. The whole process took slightly over 3 hours..
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.
Regards,
Joe.
