With a 16gb ipod touch i think it had 14.6gb worth of space when i reset it. It's really just preference, the touch is good for watching movies, as well as for using different apps. Despite this, if you don't think you'd use any feature but the mp3 than i'd say it wouldn't be worth spending the extra $100 on the touch.
I need to replace my 2nd gen Nano, and am debating between sticking with a Nano or going whole-hog with a Touch.
One thing I am wondering about is how much space apps tend to take up on the iPod Touch. If I get the Nano, I plan on going with 16g. So the question is, if I decide on the Touch, should I go with 32g because of the space taken up by apps. Plays into the financial aspect of the decision.
