The nano replaced the mini. Farewell my friend.
I actually have a mini and I like it very much. I don't particularly take good care of it, just toss it in my backpack when I'm not listening to it. But it hasn't been scratched at all. Ah the beauty of a metal case.
I have been looking for Ipod minis for a little while. They are not anywhere. The only place I have found them is on ebay and at one store that is selling them for $342 for a 4GB. I thought nano was an addition to the line not a replacement. Doesn't the nano only come in 2 and 4GB flavors? I was looking for a 6GB. (This is for a christmas present). I also was scared off of the nano because of the scratching issue. For $342 I can get an IPod Photo.
